Energy
Electricity is among the major energy components in the glass manufacturing process. We have energy meters in place at various locations and their readings have been used to compute the electrical energy data. The use of clean, renewable electricity is a key part of our strategic goal, because we understand that renewable electricity sources play a fundamental role in reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
To improve energy efficiency and reduce power consumption, we are working on initiatives such as motor power factor and frequency correction, installation of time switch in blowers, reducing gas consumption by installation of new technology burners, optimising the size of pipe of gas line, improving compressor’s efficiency and improving the capacity utilisation.
