Our teams have provided support in crisis to not only employees, but also the communities we’re a part of. Through various health camps, awareness sessions and more, we’ve managed to create a positive impact in numerous lives. In 2022, we contributed in the sanitisation of an entire village, arranged meals for those in need, and also provided meals to on-duty police staff. During natural calamities, we have also provided similar support to nearby communities.
Our community initiatives operate under 4 pillars – Health, Education, Women Empowerment and Environment. The Community Need Assessment study partnered with Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda helps us reconnect with the community to collect feedback on the impact created and re-assure our initiatives are taken in the right direction.
We have always encouraged our employee volunteers to champion various community initiatives. They can dedicate around 20 hours of work time in a financial year towards ESI-based community work, but that number can go up depending on the project. We are proud of the work our volunteers do, and in FY 21, we clocked 4352 volunteering hours from 537 employee participation.
One of the core pillars of our community initiatives is having a positive impact on the overall wellbeing of people. We have undertaken numerous initiatives so far that create awareness about female hygiene, provide clean drinking water and more.
We, at PGP, believe that enabling access to education to everyone is one of the most important aspects of our community initiatives. Our employees have undertaken many initiatives that tackle lack of education, social awareness and more among our communities.
Another important pillar of our community initiatives is empowerment. We strive to provide tools for success by offering access to important life skills, build camaraderie within the community and promote inclusivity at all levels.
