How to Handle & Dispose of Your
Glass Bottles
To keep the recycling loop clean and efficient, please:
- Empty & Rinse: Leftover liquids can contaminate the melt.
- Keep Bottles Whole: Broken shards are harder to sort and can contaminate other recycling streams.
- Resource Conservation: Using recycled glass preserves high‑quality sand, soda ash, and limestone-extending their availability for future generations.
- Separate Lids: Remove plastic or metal caps and recycle them with your rigid plastics or metals.
- Use the Right Bin: Deposit only glass in designated dry‑waste or glass‑collection bins—never with ceramics or window panes.
- Avoid Mixing Colors: If your local program requests color sorting (clear, green, amber), please follow their guidelines.
